AMB's facilities...

Until we occupy a dedicated facility, AMB classes are being held in Monrovia California, and the Professional Workshops are being conducted throughout the United States. Most recently, an AMB workshop in Computer assisted music notation was held at the California School for the Blind. The following description outlines the goals of AMB in regards to its future class rooms and facilities, as well as projected student / teacher and class room relationships.


Projected Initial Enrollment 
* Primary level: 30 students
* Secondary level: 25 students
* College/Professional level: 20 students
 
Schedule of Classes 
* Primary and Secondary classes: A Saturday or Sunday, and one week day afternoon.
* College/Professional classes: Monday through Friday, days. Monday through Thursday, evenings.
 
Staff
More than one of the following positions may be held by one individual teacher.
* 4 Braille music teachers.
* 4 Piano teachers.
* 2 String teachers.
* 2 Brass teachers.
* 2 Woodwind teachers.
* 2 Guitar teachers.
* 1 Percussion teacher.
* 4 Computer Music/Audio Engineering teachers.
* 2 Movement/Dance teachers.
* 2 Voice/Choir teachers.
* 2 V I teachers.
* 5 Administrative personnel.
 
Initial Site Requirements 
* Individual teaching modules with upright pianos: 20
* Class rooms, capacity 12: 3
* Computer music labs with 12 workstations: 2
* Listening rooms: 2
* Instrumental ensemble/choir rehearsal room: 1
* Performance space, with grand piano: 1
* Recording studio: 1
* Braille Music Library Room: 1
* Easily accessible rest rooms: 3
* Office rooms: 6
* Location is accessible via tram/bus/car.
